Fresh off back-to-back bowl victories for only the second time in school history, the 2012 Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl champion Baylor Bears look to close their 64-year-old home den, Floyd Casey Stadium, in style in 2013. With the return of 15 starters, Coach Art Briles 2013 Bears look to extend their school-record postseason streak to four straight seasons against a schedule that includes 10 teams that played in the postseason a year ago.
The Bears, who have registered a school-record 25 victories over the last three campaigns, play their final season in Floyd Casey Stadium before moving to the new $250 million on-campus Baylor Stadium in 2014. Baylor, which has won 16 of its last 19 home games including last season’s first-ever victory over a top-ranked team (BCS No. 1 Kansas State, 52-26) will play six of its seven 2013 Floyd Casey Stadium games against 2012 bowl participants, as Louisiana-Monroe (Advocare Independence), West Virginia (New Era Pinstripe), Iowa State (AutoZone Liberty), Oklahoma (AT&T Cotton) and Texas (Valero Alamo Bowl champions) all ended their season in the postseason.
